2011

This past year was a really good year for us. 2011 had its ups and downs, but I am beyond blessed and thankful for this past year. It is really neat to look back at pictures and see how much our little girl has changed and grown. She is the joy of our lives and absolutely precious! She is so much fun! (I am stealing this month-by-month recap from my friend, Leslie. :)

January:

I celebrated my 24th birthday.
Here is Audrey on my birthday morning. (4 1/2 months old.) Couldn't you just eat up those little cheeks???

 If you look close enough in the picture above, Audrey also "signed" my card. It is the scribble on the left.

And here we are at my party with Andrew's family. I am very blessed!

Also last January, I fit into all my old jeans. I think that is one of the best feelings in the world. Bye-bye, baby weight! You are not missed.

February:

Audrey tried rice cereal for the first time.  It took her a little while to really like it. She was always partial to her bottle. :)

Audrey was also dedicated last February.

 She was given this beautiful bracelet for her dedication day from her Aunt Kara Beth. 

Audrey also started sitting up by herself. Such a big girl!

March:

The weather started getting a little warmer and we started our stroller runs. I love running with my baby!

I also started blogging about this time, and found this cute bib for Audrey.

Audrey really started playing with the picnic set that Ashley got her for Christmas. I would joke because if she didn't get hungry or sleepy, she would have sat in the floor and played with that picnic set all day long. She absolutely loved it!

 Towards the end of March, the weather was really nice. Fun in the sun!

Big step for Miss Audrey...we transitioned out of the Miracle Blanket and into a "sleep sack". That girl loved to be swaddled!

April:

Aniston Pate Claytor was born! (Audrey's BFF)

Loves bath time!

Someone started getting mobile....Not quite crawling, but almost!

We also celebrated Easter!

May:
Her hair was long enough for a ponytail...

She also started crawling in May.

My first Mother's Day!!!  Audrey took me to Lowe's and we picked out beautiful flowers for my planter Andrew built me.

Andrew and I also celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary! :)

June:

Josiah Matthew Standridge was born!

 Audrey started pulling up on things in June... She is so proud of herself!

July:
 My sister got married!! I do not have the pictures yet that include her husband, TJ. My mom has those. So for now, this is what I have to document the occasion:

 August:
Audrey turned ONE!!!

Also in August, Andrew decided to go back to school. It has been an adjustment, but everything is going pretty smoothly.

September:

We went to the beach! It was our first family vacation. SO MUCH FUN!!!

 She didn't like the beach too much...

 It was easy keeping up with Audrey because she didn't like the sand so she stayed on her towel the whole time. :)

 She did like eating the sand...

 Of course she loved the swimming pool!

 I love my family!!!

 While we were in Orange Beach, our best friends -Will, Ashley, and Aniston - were also passing through. We had dinner with them at Sea 'N Suds one night.

 

Also in September, Audrey took her first steps! (9.26.11) It was another month before she really started walking all the time though.

October:

Oct 1 - We moved into our first house! This has been a very exciting transition. More room...wow, it makes the biggest difference. We love it here, plus we are right in the middle of town and close to everything. We love it!

 I also cut my hair pretty short and got bangs. :) It has grown a lot since October...and no more bangs. Reminded me too much of middle school!

I also ran a 5K in honor of one of my best friends' mom for breast cancer awareness.

November:

I ran my first 10K race with my dad. (Dam-Bridge Run)

 Thanksgiving!

Audrey also experienced her first ear infection in November. In fact, it was a double ear infection. Since then, she has had 4 ear infections. About to finish antibiotic for #4...hoping she will be completely well for a long time.

December:

I took this picture after I used the diffuser on Audrey's hair. (Blow-drying). This was also the night that her temperature spiked to 103.4. Very, very scary night for us. But all turned out fine. Her temp spiked again 5 days later to 103. Poor little baby. :(

We had our first snow for this winter season! She LOVED the snow!!!

 Andrew celebrated his 29th birthday! He had an exam on his birthday, so he his home after his test eating his birthday lunch with me and Audrey.

 Christmas!!

Audrey LOVES her chair. I recently posted on Facebook the story about her putting a DVD into the DVD player....

Audrey took one of her Veggie Tales DVDs that we got her for Christmas and put it in the DVD player. She pressed the right buttons to open and close the DVD player. Then she sat in her new chair and whined at me, I guess to make her movie start. She almost had it right...she put the DVD in upside down. ;) Silly chicken!

Here she is enjoying her chair. Andrew likes for her to have something to rest her feet on. Um, can you say rotten???

What a year! We have been so blessed. I have so many things to be thankful for. God is so good!!! Looking forward to 2012....
