Summer Fun

A few weeks ago, we had a fun playdate at Aniston's house. I forgot to blog about it though! These two cutie patooties are just adorable.

Fourth of July...

We had lunch at my mom and dad's. We had pizza, lasagna, and homemade ice cream. Yum!! Audrey enjoyed posing for the camera.

Later that afternoon, we went over to Nana and Poppie's. We saw Granny, Kara Beth, and Dave too. Audrey loves playing the piano over there!

One day after Audrey woke up from her nap, her and I were watching tv together on the couch. I was playing with my iTouch. I turned on the camera and switched the view so that we could see ourselves and take a picture. I started to doing silly faces and she would copy me. I got this one of her copying me. I laughed so hard! She is hilarious.

We took Audrey to Miami Ice for the first time about a week or so ago. She LOVED it. It is a shaved ice place at McFarland Park. Oh it's soooo good!

We had some very special visitors come to see us about two weeks ago. Lance and Tara!! We went with them and Ashley and Aniston to Gattman Park one morning while they were in town. I unfortunately forgot my camera, but did have my iTouch with me. I took a few pics, but not very many. I wish I would have taken more! Those kiddos are so cute!

 I did a comparison of a picture we took of them last summer. They have changed so much! Audrey's hair went from brown to blonde....and Aniston and Lance grew some hair, LOL.

On Sunday we took Audrey and Aniston to see their first MOVIE!!! We went to see Ice Age 4. Of course, this was a picture-taking moment to remember. Photo shoot before we left...

 Aniston was wanting to love on Audrey, but she didn't want her to.

 The girls lasted through the entire movie!! However, one exception, Aniston did pee all over Ashley. hahahaha. Minor setback. By the last five minutes or so, Audrey was getting antsy and wanting to get down. She would not have lasted a minute longer than the movie was, so it worked out good. It was so much fun! The movie was really cute too. Even their daddies were laughing.

New words -
She can make the monkey noise, "Oo Oo Oo Ah Ah Ah!"
She can make the sheep noise, "Baaaa".
She can make the Cow noise, "Mooooo". It really sounds more like "Mo", rhyming with "Bo", not "Boo".
She will sometimes say "ickle, ickle" when I tickle her. (Tickle, tickle)
When I ask her a question, she will sometimes respond with, "Oh yeah!". It is really funny.
She also says, "Ow!" when she gets hurt.

Update on our napping situation:
Audrey is still napping, and I would say we have seen a little improvement. Last week she napped 3 and 4 days at a time with only 1-2 days of no napping in between. This week she has napped every other day. Very inconsistent, but at least it's not any worse. I have started rocking her to sleep if she will comply. Her doctor says that could cause issues with her nighttime sleeping - meaning, she could start waking in the night expecting and wanting to be rocked back to sleep. So far we have not had any issues. I certainly don't want to regress to that. Who know the "anti-rocking-mom" would be doing so for her two-year-old?? Craziness.

I sure do love that little girl. She makes the world a better place. I'm so glad God chose me to be her mommy. She's wonderful!
