Andrew's 30th

I actually did it. I, or shall I say "we" - Andrew's family and myself - pulled off a big surprise party for him a few weeks ago for his 30th birthday. He was starting to suspect something earlier that week, but I kept my cool and sealed my lips. It was hard!

We had it on Saturday December 8th at his parents' house, the day before his actual birthday. At lunch that day he told me he was going to go to his mom's house a little early before the party. He thought we were just having the usual "family" party for him. I didn't react, knowing that I would spoil it if I did.

I called his sister. I had to keep him from going to his mom's house earlier than the party started. We created a diversion and had her husband, Dave, and her brother, Nathan, call Andrew and plan to meet at Gander Mountain a little before the party. It worked, and he went with them. He thought they were just going to look at guns.

And here he is...the surprise face! Ha, very blurry pics.

We had such a good time with family and friends. I am so glad we were able to make his 30th birthday extra special.

Here is Drew on his actual birthday opening gifts. He was pretty excited about his iPad....and so was Audrey. ;)

I will post about Christmas next. I have been in bed all week with fever and cough. Christmas was a blur which makes me so sad, but at least it is only a cold. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and he assured me it is just a bad cold. Tonight I am FINALLY feeling well enough to do something. So excited to be back on my blog.
